Admission Requirements for Postgraduate Programmes
(i) Admission into Postgraduate Programmes shall be open to graduates of the University and any other universities recognised by Senate. A candidate for the Master's degree programme must have at least a Second class (Lower Division) of the Bachelor's Degree.
For admission into Postgraduates Studies, the University, in addition to screening the Degree certificates of candidates, will also conduct selection tests.
(ii) Duration of Programme (Postgraduate)
The duration of a Master's programme is normally three semesters for both weekday or weekend options. Duration for Ph.D. programmes is a minimum of three years beyond the Master's degree.
8. Requirements for Award of Postgraduate Degrees
(i) To fulfill the requirements for the award of Master's degree every student shall:
(a) Register for and pass a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 60 units, which must include core, compulsory and elective courses and research thesis.
(b) Obtain not less than 50% in any written examination.
(c) Present a research proposal to the department.
(d) Present at least a seminar in the area of research topic approval by the Board, in partial fulfillment of the award of Master's Degree.
(e) Pass an oral examination arranged to defend the dissertation before the Examiners approved by the Graduate School Board.
